Welcome to Kids Life!
They are partially assembled in the USA. The solid hardwood comes from around the world depending upon the type, and is then processed and shipped to the USA, where we finish assembling and boxing products for shipment.
Our beds exceed ASTM safety standards, and hold up to 1,000LBS of distributed weight. The safety standard is only 400LBS which is a testing weight rating, not an impact rating. Our furniture is some of the strongest in the world.
We sell beds to youth camps, colleges, firehouses, and men's and women's shelters, and have had little to no issues over a decade from normal use.
We cannot guarantee how fast orders will arrive as we use many different shipping companies and ship all over the country. Our beds also go through our 102 point white glove inspection process to ensure you are getting the highest quality possible. We then palletize each order individually to protect it against possible shipping damage. We ship out of Texas, so the closer you are, the faster you should get your order.
Deliveries typically arrive within 10-14 business days.
To get your order the fastest:
All our orders ship LTL freight, and are individually palletized for the most protection against shipping damage during shipping.
Our free shipping is standard curbside delivery, but you can upgrade to our front of house delivery method if you wish that the driver brings the boxes to your front door.
No drivers are permitted to enter your home or apartment building.
Someone must be home to inspect all boxes for shipping damage, and to sign for the order.
The delivery company will reach out to you to schedule a day and time that works for you within a 4 hour wind. If you want to be pro-active, when you receive your shipping confirmation email from Kids Life Furniture, you can call the shipping company to schedule the appointment and get on their schedule as soon as possible.
Warning! If there is visible damage to the boxes or product, or there is any concern at all that there may be, please note "product damaged" on the bill of lading before signing it. While it is rare, damage during shipment can occur, and following these instructions will help us to ship replacement parts to you the fastest.
This is an extremely rare occurrence, but has happened. Usually, this is due to an organizational breakdown on the part of the freight company or incorrect information given at the time of the order such as an incorrect phone number or email where the shipping company cannot get in touch with you to schedule the appointment for delivery.
If this happens to you, we will need to contact the freight company and track down the shipment on your behalf. This will cause an unavoidable delay in delivering your furniture, but we must locate the shipment before making the decision to re-ship your order.
Be sure to provide the correct address, email, and phone number when placing your order!
The shipping company will contact you to setup a delivery appointment at a time and day that works for you.
All of our deliveries are LTL curbside, which means the driver unloads your boxes at the end of our driveway, or in front of your apartment building. This is so that you are able to determine if there is visible damage to any of the boxes. He/she may ask for your assistance with a bulky/heavy piece, so if you are physically able, please lend a hand.
Many times the drivers will bring the order to the front door or your garage, but this is left up to the driver and is based on the accessibility to your house. If you want to guarantee the delivery makes it to your front door, you should upgrade to our Front of House delivery service.
The delivery personnel are not allowed to go into your home, apartment, or climb stairs. This type of service is considered “white glove” and must be set up in advance with Kids Life Furniture (additional fees will apply which cannot be directly purchased online.)
Once the delivery has arrived, it is your responsibility to inspect all boxes and the product for any possible shipping damage before the driver leaves and before you sign the bill of lading.
If you see any product damage, box damage, or are concerned for any reason, please write "product damaged" on the bill of lading, before signing. Be sure to request a copy of it, and then contact us at sales@kidslifefurniture.com so we can begin the process of getting replacement parts out to you.
If you see no damage, simply sign the bill of lading, and the driver will be on his way.
Once the driver has unloaded all of the boxes from the truck, please inspect the outside of the boxes before signing the delivery receipt. If you see box damage you are allowed to open the box to see if there is actual product damage.
If there is product damage you must notate on the bill of lading "PRODUCT DAMAGE". If the damage is limited to one items, or it is minor – please notate the damage on the bill of lading and accept the shipment. We will then replace whatever parts we need to quickly for you.
If there is major damage to many parts or boxes (very rare), please refuse the shipment and again notate it on the bill of lading.
Contact us immediately if you have damage to your product at sales@kidslifebrand.com
This is called concealed freight damage and happens very rarely with our packing process and 102 point white glove inspection prior to shipping your order.
If this does occur, we will ask you to provide digital picture of the damage pieces.
Be sure you unpack everything and look in any drawers before contacting us about missing parts, since that's where the hardware and instructions are usually kept. Please re-check the boxes before throwing them out twice to make sure nothing was left in the boxes.
During our 102 point white glove packing process, we ensure all parts are included before the items ship, however on a very rare occasion our team may make a human error. Once you have determined which pieces are missing, contact us at sales@kidslifebrand.com detailing which items you are missing so that we can send replacements.
There is a 5 year limited warranty against manufacturing defects on most all of our products, and a standard 1 year warranty on other products we carry. The product page will indicate which standard warranty comes with the product. If a manufacturer quality issue is reported within the warranty time period, we will send the replacement pieces at no charge, assuming the furniture has not been abused beyond normal wear and tear. If it is out of the warranty period, we will charge you the wholesale cost plus shipping for any replacement pieces.
All products can be upgraded for an additional fee to our limited lifetime warranty for extended protection.
