Free shipping

Free shipping is provided for any point in the contiguous United States that can be serviced by our LTL carriers. If for some reason our LTL carriers cannot service your address, you will be notified and provided options for other shipping services which may not be free.

Our free shipping option, is curbside service only. If you require inside delivery, you can always upgrade your shipping services at checkout to a paid white glove service. We will customize your delivery to suit your needs.   

Upon Delivery

WARNING! - Please inspect all boxes closely when the truck arrives (check for box damage, product damage and piece count). Damage to the box, in most cases, does not mean the product itself is damaged, however, if there is damage to the box, it must be determined if the product is damaged as well. You have the right to inspect the product to determine this. If there is damage to the box, but the product is fine, then no notation on the bill of lading is necessary. If the product is damaged, the notation that you or the driver makes on the bill of lading must state "product damaged" versus "box is damaged" - it is especially important that the driver puts his initials next to any damage notations on the bill of lading. If there is any concern at all, it is better to be safe and notate it on the bill of lading.

If all damage is documented, then the freight company becomes responsible and a replacement part(s) can be immediately shipped out (via regular freight delivery service). Please check for product damage before you sign the bill of lading! The best course of action, if you find damage, is to accept the damaged parts and notate it on the bill of lading. On the vast majority of cases the damage is minor and only on one box and can be corrected by sending a new part by UPS or FedEx. Once you have the product inside your house, it is critical to unpack and check for damage and completeness. This must be done within 48 hours of receipt after you've noted that the product is damaged on the bill of lading. No claims (in relation to concealed damage, missing parts etc) can be honored unless we are notified within the 48 hours via email. If a problem is found, we reserve the right to determine the best way to resolve the problem. This may be done by:

  • sending out a replacement part
  • the issuing of a credit
  • replacing the entire product itself
  • sending out a touch up pen, if applicable

We may ask you, the customer, to provide pictures to best determine the resolution of the problem. Rest assured we will do our best to make it right by you.

All products leave here on a white gloved pallet, protected with wood, cardboard, stretched wrapped and strapped. Prior to leaving the warehouse and being palletized all boxes are gone through by hand to ensure no product is shipped damaged and that all pars are included. If the product does not arrive on a pallet then the freight company has taken the product off the pallet, please notate it on the bill of lading by writing "PALLET STRIPPED".

Shipping options & upgrades

Free curbside Delivery

All LTL deliveries are by appointment only. This means that the shipper will call you in advance to schedule your delivery date and time usually between 8:00am - 5:00pm, Monday through Friday with a 4 hour window. Please read over your order to make sure that your phone number(s) are correct. If the shipper cannot reach you by phone, they cannot schedule the appointment and the delivery will be delayed. Ultimately it is up to the customer to make sure that the deliveries are scheduled, so we will email you the tracking and shipping information once the order is picked up from our warehouse. If you want to be pro-active, you can always call the shipper to schedule your appointment before they call you.   

All deliveries are LTL common carrier semi-trucks. This means the delivery will be on a large truck and the truck will not come onto your property, which is why we say “curbside delivery”. This type of delivery is the most common type of delivery for large furniture. The truck will arrive for the scheduled delivery date and time, and they will park at the end of your driveway, or as close to the front of the property as they can without leaving the public paved road. You are not insured to go on their truck, and they are not insured to be on your property or in your house. If you are in an apartment or townhouse, the semi truck should be able to enter your parking lot area if there is room.

The driver is responsible for taking the boxes or pallet off of the back of the truck, and safely hand you and your party the boxes at the curb or sidewalk. At this point you will want to visually inspect the boxes and count them to make sure they are all there before signing the paperwork. If you see any product damage, simply notate that on the Bill of Lading (write "product damaged") and accept the entire order. Do not refuse any part of the order even if you see something that looks damaged. We will replace damaged parts for free, and the process will go much faster if nothing is refused. 

Please note that this free shipping service is provided to most addresses that are road accessible by a semi truck. Some factors that may determine accessibility are: dirt or gravel roads, remote locations, mountainous areas, island homes that require ferries, low hanging wires, trees, or bridges, HOA or security gate restrictions, etc. If you feel your location may be of concern, it is critical that you call us before the order ships to determine if there will be any issues or discuss with the shipping company after your item ships. If there are issue with your delivery location, you may be asked to meet the truck outside of the problem area, or additional fees may be required by the shipping company.


Front of house delivery - $69.00

This upgraded service is for people that want a little extra service or assistance from our curbside delivery above. This is still an outside of home delivery option, but the intention is to get your order into a carport, garage, to the front door. In some cases the driver will leave the order on the pallet and use a pallet jack to move the order to the final delivery point. If the driver is delivering palletized they will not be able to go up steps or over curbs. Other drivers may strip the order off the pallet, and deliver boxes individually, so curbs may not be a factor for them.

Driver safety is always 1st. If the delivery driver feels that a delivery location is unsafe, they may refuse this service and resort to the curbside delivery. If this is the case, we will refund you the upgraded shipping price, but this is not an acceptable cause for the order to be refused or cancelled by you. Here are some factors that could restrict this delivery service: snow or icy driveways, dirt or gravel driveways, driveways that are too steep up or down, excessively long driveways, etc. Ultimately, the determination is the driver's choice, and there is no rule to prevent customers from tipping for “extra services”.

 


Please note that we are not the shipping company. Because of this, we have very little control over the exact shipping times. Re-routed orders, weather delays, and broken down trucks are all factors to consider for delayed shipments, and on occasion they can affect the delivery time, as can the shipping location itself. KidsLifeFurniture.com is not responsible for shipping delays and does not guarantee any timeframe for shipping. We give historical shipping estimates since shipping is not 100% within our control. We cannot make demands on shipping companies once orders are picked up from our warehouse. All deliveries are scheduled in advance by the shipping company directly with you, so please make sure to double check your phone numbers for accuracy. If the shipping company cannot reach you by phone, the delivery could be delayed or returned to our warehouse at your expense.
